Congratulations SYKES Allentown and SYKES Langhorne for being honored with the 2015 Governor’s Achievement Award – PA Department of Public Welfare! SYKES was one of three companies to have received this honor. Additionally, the company was also nominated in two different counties independently… which is very rare. This award is presented to companies who work closely with CareerLink, a Pennsylvania state agency that helps the unemployed develop their interview skills, draft resumes, and job search skills among other valuable services.
SYKES has partnered with CareerLink over the years to set up mock-interviews, that have led to real interviews, which has led to full-time employment with SYKES. Additionally, SYKES regularly posts all jobs with the state, utilizes the resume databank to actively reach out to candidates from the area looking for work, and attends local job fairs to help people in the area return to work. All of the leaders at SYKES are proud of the ongoing and growing partnership Allentown and Langhorne have with their local CareerLink centers.
Mike Taney, Francisco Bohlsen, Stephanie Rogers and Deanna Mulvey traveled to the Sweetest Place on Earth, Hershey, PA, to accept the award on behalf of SYKES on May 6, 2015. Attached are a few pictures from the ceremony: Mike’s acceptance speech, some group shots and a few celebration pictures.
Great job SYKES Pennsylvania teams. We are excited to continue our work with PA CareerLink throughout 2015!
