SYKES is thrilled to announce it has joined a new impact sourcing initiative spearheaded by the Tent Partnership for Refugees; IAOP, the global business process outsourcing (BPO) association; and BPro, the Colombian BPO association, aimed at helping Venezuelan refugees integrate in Colombia.
SYKES has already demonstrated its dedication to this cause by hiring Venezuelan refugees at its Colombian and Brazilian locations — offering important economic opportunities to a population displaced by violence, poverty, and persecution. To date, SYKES has hired 26 Venezuelan refugees, and in partnership with its Colombian and Brazilian sites, they’re making a positive impact in our Latin American communities.
In addition to this impact sourcing initiative, SYKES is joining the Tent Partnership for Refugees, a network of over 140 major companies committed to including refugees. Tent works to mobilize the global business community to improve the lives and livelihoods of the over 30 million refugees who have been displaced from their home countries. SYKES remains committed to doing its part to improve the lives of Venezuelan refugees and the rest of the SYKES family all over the world, one caring interaction at a time.
