Michelle Parks is the senior vice president of client and operations management for Sykes Enterprises, Incorporated. Working with SYKES since 2016, Michelle continues to showcase excellence in her delivery to our employees, her clients, and our stakeholders. Accountable for eight sites and 10 brand partners in North America, Michelle’s strategic leadership effectively drives both operations and innovation. Before her most recent promotion in March 2020, Michelle partnered with her peers in APAC to launch both iCOACH and the Reporting Circle of Excellence — a timesaving, best-in-class reporting tool that empowers teams to take advantage of collected data.
Prior to joining SYKES, Michelle was a full-time student at Virginia Commonwealth University, pursuing a career in nursing. While attending VCU, Michelle accepted an outbound collections call center role at Capital One that led to an 18-year career. There, she was able to develop her passion for people and process-excellence skills, holding various leadership and client services roles. The marriage between EQ and IQ challenges within the operations industry influenced her to change her intended career trajectory from nursing to operational and client management.
In October 2016, Michelle began her career with SYKES as the senior director of strategic client management and area operations, where she made immediate impacts driving both financial and process improvements. Michelle has quickly moved up the leadership ranks due to her diligence, hard work, skill, dedication to people, and industry expertise. Aligning her strategies for success with her personal core values has enabled her continued growth and success. Michelle is passionate about driving people-first results.
Michelle is a resident of Midlothian, Virginia, where she lives with her husband and four children.
When she is not on the road supporting her team and clients, Michelle enjoys supporting her VCU Rams athletic organization, gardening, and cooking with her husband.
