SVP of Work at Home Operations for North America

After driving SYKES operations in the APAC region from 2003 to 2018, Dean Van Ormer is continuing his success as the senior vice president of work at home operations for the North America team.

During his tenure as country vice president and general manager in the Philippines, Dean was instrumental in growing the team and their delivery capabilities. And since returning to North America in 2018, he’s helped drive critical changes, including streamlining operations and stabilizing revenue, across 30+ clients. Under his continuing leadership in the states, SYKES’ virtual teams are making big strides with initiatives to drive performance, develop leaders, enhance our culture, and prioritize employee engagement within their unique work environment.

Prior to joining SYKES, Dean held key roles in operations and client services at Reese Teleservices. He started his career in the industry as a sales agent during his freshman year of college at Robert Morris University, where he studied marketing and finance, moving through leadership positions ever since.

Dean resides in Pittsburgh with his wife and two children. When he’s not busy with work, he pursues his hobbies: rooting for all Pittsburgh sports teams, golf, football, and coaching.
