Pam Collie Price

Community Relations Specialist

Pam’s mission from the moment she wakes up is to A) put a smile on someone’s face, and B) ensure there’s never a dull moment at the office. Her work includes tasks ranging from planning onsite events and creating ongoing volunteer opportunities for team members, to welcoming corporate team visitors to the Wise, Virginia site. Pam’s pride and joy (other than her two sons) is making sure everyone knows how awesome Team Wise is and making certain that SYKES is a visible, contributing member of the local community.

What do you do?

I handle our public relations and marketing along with internal team events, community sponsorships and daily on-site food trucks.

How long have you been with SYKES?

I joined Frontier in July of 2016 as recruitment manager and shortly transitioned into the community relations specialist. When SYKES acquired Frontier in June of 2017, I stayed onboard in my current role.

What’s a typical day at SYKES like?

I spend most days out and about in the community, creating partnerships, looking for relevant sponsorship and volunteer opportunities and building relationships. If I’m here onsite, I’m usually hosting an event, greeting agents and reminding them that we have an ice cream social, or that at 2:30 p.m. we’ll be serving cake. I’m always looking for a reason to have an event or celebration!

What’s the best part about working at SYKES?

Making people happy. That’s what I try to do.

What are the SYKES community initiatives you’re most proud of?

We have so many! We love to give back to the community we work, live and play in. We focus heavily on local schools. We’re currently reading to primary school students. We have students in our area who don’t always have someone home to read to them.

What’s the most challenging part of your job?

Balancing work and life

What do you like to do when not working?

I’m a recent newlywed (9 months), and my husband Robert and I love camping as a family and spending time playing on the lake. Traveling to new destinations and discovering interesting facts and local foods are other passions that I enjoy in my downtime.

What app can you not live without?

As a mom of a 13- and 17-year-old, Life360. It helps me keep track of where they are.

What would your superpower be?

Mind reading

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

If you could hop in a time machine and travel back to any point in history, where would you go?

I would want to be an adult in the 70s (I’m a closet disco queen)

What are you currently binge-watching?

Grace and Frankie on Netflix

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Hopefully SYKES keeps letting me spread my wings. I’ve been traveling to other SYKES facilities and showcasing what we do here in terms of community partnership engagement. I’d like to continue spreading that mission.
