The ceremony opened with an energetic performance by SYKES’ very own dance group, SYKES Synergy. Ms. Doodoo Marcos, Senior Director of Human Resources, APAC, formally welcomed the audience to the sports fest ceremony and led the Oath of Sportsmanship. The yearly ceremonial lighting of the torch was headed by SYKES’ Director for Branding and Communications, Ms. Cecile Moreno-Venancio and tournament directors Aemerson Guinto (Basketball), Tristan Reyes (Volleyball), Zhiella Turingan (Badminton), and Ramoncito Libunao (Bowling). Powergames tournament director, Val Fabregas, was represented by Ms. Jaja Aguña from the Branding and Communications team.
Unlike the previous sports festivals, the competition this year is now inter-site, making it more exciting for everyone. Different accounts and departments merged with each other to create teams, forming stronger alliances that are ready to go head to head with other SYKES sites.
