Work-Life Balance

Working from home is not for everyone. You will need a high degree of self-discipline and the ability to work independently. SYKES@Home offers a variety of working time models beyond the traditional 09:00 – 17:00 clock model. Did you know that the average commuter in Germany needed an estimated 1.5 hours every day just to get to work? That adds up to approximately 12 days per year. This saves a significant amount of time for all SYKES@Home employees.

My Day

Our staff at SYKES@Home does not need to spend hours in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Instead, you will need an average of five minutes to get to their office and be in comfortable surroundings. SYKES@Home employees will work for well-known clients and brands. They provide technical assistance, to answer product queries, solve accounting matters or take orders by phone, chat or email. There is no challenge that our employees cannot solve together.

06:30 – 07:30 I get up, wake my children and to prepare a family breakfast before I prepare my children for the day.

09:00 – 13:00 I go to my home office and prepare my PC, the systems and my phone and then help support my customers via telephone professionally with their questions and concerns.

13:00 – 15:00 Now is time for my break. Through my split layer I have the opportunity to prepare lunch for my children, pick them up from school and go through their homework.

15:00 – 19:00Back on the phone customers are already waiting for my support. In quieter times, I take over the processing of customer emails.

19:00 – 22:00 I look forward to a good dinner and bed time with my children and my partner.
